Hotel and commercial refurbishment
Hotels, offices and commercial refurbishments, delivered on tight programmes. CAP plans the work around how the building trades, coordinates the consultants and the approvals, and finishes to the standard a paying guest or tenant expects.

Commercial Refurbishment, in detail.
Take this on its own, or as one part of a project we run from planning through to aftercare.
Hotels and hospitality
Bedrooms, bathrooms, bars and communal areas refurbished to a high-end finish, as at Weston Manor Hotel in Oxfordshire.
Offices and commercial premises
Strip out, re-planning, new services and fit out, programmed around the lease dates and the opening date.
Plant and M&E
New plant rooms, heating, ventilation and electrical installations, designed with the M&E consultant and commissioned before handover.
Programme led delivery
A programme agreed at the start and managed against throughout, because on a commercial building every week closed has a cost.
Asked and answered.
Can you work while the building stays open?
Often, yes. Work can be phased by floor or by wing, and noisy operations scheduled around trading hours. The phasing is agreed with you at planning stage because it affects both the programme and the cost.
Who is responsible for health and safety on a commercial project?
Under the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015, a commercial client appoints a principal designer and a principal contractor where more than one contractor is involved. As principal contractor we plan, manage and monitor the construction phase.
Have you refurbished a hotel before?
Yes. At Weston Manor Hotel, a five star hotel and Grade II* listed property in Oxfordshire, we planned, designed and refurbished 14 rooms, the communal areas, the plant rooms, the listed gardens and the roof.
Do commercial refurbishments need building control approval?
Yes. Fire safety, means of escape, access, ventilation and energy performance are all checked, and a change of use can bring further requirements. We deal with building control as part of the job.
Can you provide the design team?
Yes. We can provide architects, engineers, planning consultants and M&E designers and manage them as one team, or work with consultants you have already appointed.
